Oliver was our super hero last week and what a wonderful hero he is. He is always safe, responsible, and respectful. Way to go, Ollie! And, when he presented his poster, he even sang his theme song. Awesome!

I can always count on Lillian for a smile and a hug! She loves to help others and is such a hard worker. Way to go super hero!
Bea is a super hero disguised as a super reader! This girl is always reading and really knows what it means to get lost in a good book! Way to go Bella the super reader super hero!
On Tuesdays, we practice our spelling sorts in small groups by either speed sorting, using our words in a sentence, doing a writing sort, writing our words in cursive, or looking through our collection of poetry to find words that fit the spelling pattern we are learning.
Just for fun and to get the kids to start thinking about their college future, we had a college apparel day. It was great to see such school spirit. Mrs. Woller and I wore shirts that support the colleges we graduated from, but most students dressed in support of either University of Michigan (Hooray) or michigan state (boo-hoo!) It was fun to see students wear hats, necklaces, face paint and fun socks!
Lex wore his cape with pride. He did a wonderful job presenting his poster and talking about his dog as his sidekick. Nice work, Lex!
When Mason was Super Hero of the week, he could be spotted wearing his green cape around the halls of RRO, being safe, responsible, and respectful. Our super hero even took advantage of the opportunity to read to us. Thanks, Mason!
With all the rain and icy playground, we've had a lot of indoor recesses. We try to get the kids outside for at least one of their recesses, but we still have indoor recess for at least one. The students don't seem to mind it so much. We allow our students to go in between classrooms and play with someone from the other class. There are board games, Legos, marble tracks, blocks, coloring pages, and scrap paper for drawing. Some kids choose to read or just hang out and talk.
Super Cadence comes to the rescue often, especially after indoor recess when her and a few other students organize all the indoor recess toys. She is so responsible, respectful and safe. A true hero! Thanks, Cadence!
