It was my last day with the students in Mrs. Woller's home room. What an amazing group of students! They will be greatly missed. I hope they come and read to my class next year, or stop in and say hello.
Even though it was cloudy and chilly today, students seemed to really enjoy the afternoon. Thank you to all the parents who cooked and got the food set up. You made it possible to have a great cook out with the kids. After the kids ate, they were able to go play. Some chose the playground structure, some formed soccer teams and played soccer the entire time, others played catch or baseball or frisbee or some played down by the water. I love watching them organize their play. Even though it was chilly, we still enjoyed popsicles. Here is a slideshow of pictures from our afternoon together. Enjoy! Let's give them a hand!- Students who were responsible and turned in all or all but one reading log from the entire year got a certificate, a sucker, and a sticky hand. Hope this sticky hand didn't cause problems at home! Congrats super readers! Also, I gave everyone a mystery series book to enjoy this summer. Maybe your kid will get hooked on this series!
