I love the one that says, "You are owels (always) by my side. And you are small but inside you are big."
Every Thursday we fill the super hero's bucket. I love reading over these because they fill my bucket too. We have such a great group of kids and they are doing a wonderful job at finding the positive in everyone and writing specific things that will fill people's buckets. Elle is the super hero this week and here are a few of the bucket filling papers she will be getting today. Her bucket is sure to be full today!

Lilly is an amazing Super Hero! She is always respectful, responsible, and safe. She is kind to everyone, and, as you can tell from her poster, she does her personal best on her work. Thank you Lilly!
Recently students learned a new strategy in reading for retelling or summarizing their fiction books. We call it the SWBST strategy and it stands for Somebody Wanted, But, So Then. Have your child practice at home with any fiction book. It can be done orally or written out.
We followed the SWBST strategy when we summarized together The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane. Then, I read Knuffle Bunny and students practiced summarizing that book. |
