I love getting pictures of everyone and your work! This is just a few that I received this week. Remember, you can send me pictures of things you are enjoying while away from school too, like Izzy did with her baby geese and Levi did catching critters! I would love to post pictures of you on your bike, baking, creating, building, reading, painting, jumping on a trampoline, etc. It’s so good for us to see each other’s faces and see what we’ve been up to!

Here is the Picture Book of the Day! Did I already read this one in class? I couldn't remember. Oh well. I figured it is a good one! If you haven't guessed a date that a leg is going to be spotted on the first tadpole, go down to the tadpole post and comment! I would love to see who is closest! Enjoy your math today and your reading in Epic. Miss you and love you all! Epic- Our code is ten5869. Try to find a good series today or get started on a chapter book!
Picture Book of the Day- The Impatient Caterpillar ReadWorks- Our code for the Ellis class is YEXBVQ and Woller class is 6NR7QD RhymeZone- If you need help thinking of some rhyming words, check out this site. Here is a picture of my example. Don't forget to start each line in your poem with a capital and have end punctuation! Send me a picture of your finished work! Here is the link to the Third Grade Learning Plan you received on Monday. I know it is getting buried in posts! Just click on "Download File" if you need to see it again.
Below is the Picture Book of the Day. Enjoy! Epic- Our classroom code is ten5869. I love to see what everyone has been reading lately. There are so many of you reading chapter books. Hooray! Try to read for at least 20 minutes today.
Make sure to come back tomorrow. I will have an example of what you will be doing for writing on Wednesday, a new riddle, and a Picture Book of the Day. I can't wait to "see" you! The tadpoles are happy and healthy! Don’t worry, Mrs. Woller won’t let her new ducks near them. The tadpoles vary greatly in size. Some are still quite small, while others have pulled ahead and grew a lot. These are the bigger ones huddled together. Mrs. Woller hopes to see legs soon! Comment on this post with a guess of the date we will spy the first leg. Keep your eyes out for it!
Mrs. Woller wanted you to know she got baby ducks! So cute! They don't have names yet. What would you name them? She also had a giant pileated woodpecker visit her bird feeder. What a goof! Her nephew found an egg on the farm, so Mrs. Woller put it under the heat lamp with the ducks.
Hello! I hope you enjoy your week of new learning opportunities. Click on "download file" below to see this week's learning plan. Once you have it opened, you can save it as a tab to use all week or open it up each day and click on the links to complete the tasks.
Happy Friday! Here is the Picture Book of the Day! Have fun creating your log mark today. There are examples of log marks in a post below. Don't forget to keep it for your Zoom meeting next week! Miss you all! And remember, there is only one you! A HUGE smile came to my face when I logged onto Epic and saw so many of you reading. Some of you got hooked on some chapter books! There are great chapter books you can listen too, as well. That is a great option if you are really interested in a book, but it seems too hard to read. Good job at finishing Wings of Fire, Lilly! I see you started the next book in the series. I see a good mix of fiction and nonfiction reading, too. There is so much to choose from! It looks like Maya and Reagan are enjoying reading dog and cat books and Caden is working through Big Nate. I can also see how many pages you flipped and how quickly you finished the book, so keep that in mind. Some of you need to find a book that will last you for a bit. Get lost in it! It isn't necessarily the quantity you are reading, but the quality and time you are reading, just like in our classroom! Take the time to pause and ask your self questions as you read. Be an O.W.L- observe the pictures, wonder, and link to your life. Look for those signposts that we studied and discussed too! Words of the Wiser Again & Again Aha Moment Contrast and Contradiction Memory Moment Tough Questions Here are some good reminders for you and your parents. There are so many ways to learn! Find something that interests you. There is a whole world of possibilities!
