This week's pool school focused on boating safety. In the classroom portion, students worked in their books to identify items that would be good to take on a boat. We also discussed how to tell if your life jacket is a proper fit and then in the pool, students got to practice putting on a life jacket and making sure it fit. When we returned to school, there isn't much time spent in our classroom. We have two recess, lunch, special, and library to pack into our afternoon. With the time we did have in our room we did a hilarious Valentine's Mad Libs that helped us review what nouns, adjectives, adverbs, and verbs are. We also made a Valentine Butterfly. Hopefully you saw your child's because I didn't take any pictures of the finished product. They turned out great! The pictures below are from last week. I was not there, but Mrs. Raiche was able to capture a few.
