Cammie is in the mystery book club that is reading the book Chasing Vermeer. In this book, the main character Calder loves to play around with pentominos. Pentominos are shapes that are made up of five squares and are in the shape of letters. He spells words with them and makes rectangles with them. The most challenging thing to do is make a rectangle using all the pentominos. I gave the students who are reading this book a bag of pentominos. Many have been working on the challenge of making a rectangle using all of their pentominos. Today (Saturday) I got emailed this picture from Cammie. She did it! Way to go!
